I
would be hypocrite if I’ll tell that masturbation is not pleasurable, because
I’ve been there and done that. It’s actually one of the most pleasurable
here on earth. But the thing is, if I’ll try to measure its effects,
peace of mind is basically at stake because this can be worsened in the process
as one indulges on it. The mind works and explores other exciting alternative
after which; from masturbation to looking for an outlet that could respond to
that exploration that the mind conceptualizes (premarital sex, same sex
marriage, entering prostitution dens). Before one knew it, addiction on
forbidden sex has already been embedded in one’s system.
In
the long run, there could be realization as God never ceases to reach out His
creations because of His perpetual love. When that grace starts to pour,
amendments begin. In reality, the longer the period of indulging in any
forms of transgression, the longer the process of repairing of values to
restore to its original state.
As
a consequence of forbidden sex that has been worsened, pr-marital sex and
homosexuality have been pointed as the major culprits of AIDS
multiplication. Approximately 37 million people are now living with HIV,
2.6 million is under the age of 15. In 2014, an estimated 2 million people were
newly infected with HIV. Indeed, God is rational enough on forbidding such an
act.
Reality
check, the more human is suppressed about anything; the more they are curious
about it wherein exploration is the final alternative. The topic does not
promote masturbation either but provides knowledge which may serve as
caution. The Bible talks about sexuality, “For the one who sows to
his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the
Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life “(Galatians 6:8), but neither did
it clarify what will happen to a person who may be tempted to such nor any
Scripture’s writer discussed what will happen after watching pornography,
obviously because these things did not exist yet on their generation.
No
matter how the parents regulate their teens/underage siblings, sooner or later
because of their freedom, trial of doing something that they overheard and
accidentally watched on Facebook and websites will be the next move when
there’s an opportunity that they’re with friends who tolerate such, when
there’s an instance of accessibility when their parents could not see
them. Teens are wiser nowadays. For them to conceal sexual
activity, they enter motel within the early hours so they could catch their
curfew.
Remember
that the first trial may be followed by another attempts, until it become a
habit once pleasure haunts their minds. Could you still recall when you
first try smoking and drinking an alcohol? Did you not remember that others
vomit and cough because of its bad taste? But in the process, this turns
to be an addiction because the bad taste becomes tasteful because one’s immune
system has already used to it because this has already been dominated by sense
of belongingness wherein one could party out with peers, sing wildly and
converse with them more liberally. What matters, when this temptation
occurs towards the end, guidance has already planted in their minds.
The
reason people are not educated of the do’s and don’ts because we are
suppressing our own selves not to talk about it because it’s promiscuous where
in fact almost every male does it or even females. It’s just that what is
being embedded in human system is that, this is pleasurable and it’s just
normal for individual to do it because it’s human nature. But neither did
humans are educated of its effect because we’re suppressed by the
environment. In effect because of suppression, it’s human’s tendency to
explore it.
In
conclusion, real men don’t have the need to watch porn and masturbate
excessively, but should get out and do what is wanted. Real men are more mature
by not sitting at home or in the confinement of their rooms feeling sorry for
themselves and constantly stroking that thing. They don’t want to feel like a
loser so they don’t do it.
Masturbation is a lot like a drug that one should stop doing. It’s
addictive, doesn’t benefit one’s body and mind the way sex does, and it’s hard
to stop doing so much.
Men are "naturally" designed to attract women. The
system is already inside of him and completely connected for it. It’s just that
men mess up this system by chronically masturbating. The more self-control and
focus that one emulates in using sexual energy towards productivity, the more
self-control and intelligibility, concentration, and power one will be rewarded
with.
The fact is that masturbation is unhealthy but people want to hear
good things about their bad habits so they try so hard to numb their conscience
with rationalizations like “it’s normal” and “everybody does it.” 70 years ago
people of the same mentality said the same thing about cigarettes that,
“smoking is healthy” or, “See, everyone else is doing it."
At home, inside the class setting and even inside the pulpit, the
beauty and benefits of self-control, self-regulation, and fulfilling
relationships with the opposite sex are hidden from them. Reality check, there
are now seven, eight, and nine year old girls and boys becoming addicted to
porn and masturbation. In fact, I learned watching pornography from a high
school who was a seatmate in an internet cafe while I was researching.
Once those neural passageways are established in the brain it is
almost impossible to escape from these habits. Certainly as night follows day,
those habits transport consequences and the addicted one spends the rest of his
life looking for help in all the wrong places, because almost everyone takes
such a choice. However, nobody needs to give up hope.
Both the Magisterium of the Church, in the pattern of
a permanent tradition, and the moral sense of the faithful have been firmly
preserving that masturbation is basically and seriously messy action. The
conscious use of the sexual faculty, for whatever reason, outside of marriage
basically opposes its purpose, which is human procreation in the context of
true love. The Church thereof encourages pastoral action to develop impartial
assessment taking into account the affective immaturity, force of acquired
habit, conditions of anxiety or other psychological/social factors that
diminish, if not even to a moderation, moral culpability.
